Thanks to all who attended last night. There's a pretty cool core group developing here, and great new people of all ages, stages who participated and we'd love to see again!
Special thanks to Phil "Spike" Schlein for the incredible wine, and to Jamie Casello for being saladbearer (we think a guy this good looking tossing arugula and fixins' for the group is reason enough to come out!).
The big surprise of the evening was Bear Kittay belting it out his original songs with an acoustic guitar- his grandma song about love, and the big universe song (which is more or less about loving earth- and shaking the space up with pure vocal power.
This week we experimented with a break out format to create more opportunity for people to talk with each other- an introductory talk, then groups of 3 or 4 looking at a variety of questions related to meaning and mission- then a regrouping as a larger community. We really really liked this approach and plan to do more of that.
The discussion afterward had some great insights, some of which we're going to highlight in a future article.
Here's the recording of Christine McCaull's introductory talk, please share.

Inquiry prompts mentioned in the talk: These can be reexamined and reconsidered on your own time as a journaling exercise. We barely scratched the surface in our small groups.
- Where do you derive meaning? What matters to you most?
- What desires are underneath the things you do in the world?
- What problems in the world are you attracted to working on?
- What problems have you been able to see, or have insight into, due to your unique life circumstance- how has your life experience itself prepared you to serve?
- Where are your deepest values and actions aligned now, where do you want more alignment?
- Where are you acting on someone else's (culture, parents) values, not your own?
- If you are living your purpose, how did you arrive in that place? What can other people learn from you?

Looking forward to seeing you soon at LoveSpringSF.
