5/16: Arlene Samen and musical guest John Anaya

Arlene Samen was a nurse with decades of experience in maternal health when she left behind her clinical practice to live her dream of serving pregnant women living in the most vulnerable conditions. Arlene launched One Heart World-Wide to save the lives of pregnant women and their babies. How did she move from dream to reality? Come listen to Arlene's story, hear the dream-stories of the LoveSpring community and tell your own. What will we dream up?
John Anaya joins us again with great music, quite possibly some songs about mothers. A great musician with a full heart.

5/2: Tori Hogan + Bear Kittay + Indian Menu

Author and filmmaker Tori Hogan travelled the world to discover how international aid could be more effective. The resulting 10-part series, Beyond Good Intentions, explores innovative approaches to helping communities in need. Tori joins us fresh back (really, really fresh back) from Machu Picchu. What can she tell us about the state of how we help?
Community member Bear Kittay comes back to rock it with his jubilant and undeniable self.
Chef Leo has been thinking it's time for Indian: Spicy okra and cauliflower, aloo sag (that savory combination of spinach and potatoes), saffron kitcheree, fresh naan and plenty of raita. And an Indian sweet from the one and only "Pastry Prodigy," Lariann.
Here for tickets.

5/9: You Love LoveSpring. What about Un-LoveSpring?

We've had so much fun and fulfillment building an evening around (mostly) a presenter and a topic -- what happens when we turn that format on its head? This Wednesday, we'll select four community-submitted topics and break into four groups to discuss, coming back together to talk about what we learned. What would you like to talk about at LoveSpring?

4/25: Theodore Agranat on Work. Life. Balance.

Theodore Agranat has a life story that sounds like a combination of tales by Charles Dickens and Horace Greeley (with a bit of an Eastern European accent). Born in Russia and raised in Austria, Theodore was living on his own at 14, his family scattered abroad and to institutions and foster homes. With no high school education, he hit U.S. shores at 17, launched a web-design firm at 21 and within years had run six successful businesses in real estate, e-commerce and business software. But it hasn't all been hard-driving business success: Theodore has worked hard to bring achievement, joy and focus to all areas of his life. What can we learn from him about living from our hearts and loving as hard as we can?
Tamarind Free Jones joins us with music -- her lyric combination of Indian melodies and English words will delight you.
